There are two visiting teachers from Mexico working with students in the Binational Program hosted at Somis School. FUSD migrant students were provided with the opportunity to participate in the Binational Summer School Program and seven students attended. A Parent Engagement Event took place in FUSD on Wednesday, July 26 6:00pm – 7:30pm at Fillmore Middle School’s Staff Lounge. The two Mexico teachers facilitated the event for migrant families with an art/writing activity and showcase the work students have been doing. We are honored that our district was selected to send students to the first annual Migrant Binational Summer School program at Somis School and look forward to this on an annual basis.
